Inspirational Messages: Where Do You Find Stillness?

When you get caught up in all the drama and challenges in the world around you, it’s easy to get off balance in your own life.

So how can you find calm and stillness in the midst of it all?  It’s inside you, just waiting for you to access it.

It starts with what you feed your mind.  Your mind is command central for your entire body and being. 

Let’s start with how you talk to yourself.  It’s not uncommon to be tougher on you, and talk to yourself in ways that you would never do with anyone else.  Do you ever hear yourself say, “I hate the way I….” or “How could I be so stupid?” or “Who do I think I am?”

If any of this resonates, pay attention to your negative self-talk.

Also, if you find yourself focusing on how hard life is or how stressed you are, notice that you’re filling your mind with just that.  You’re amplifying and magnifying negative thoughts that you allow to take over your mind, which then impacts how you talk to others, as well as what actions you take (or don’t).

Another important factor is who you surround yourself with.  Do you spend a lot of time with highly stressed or negative people?  Undoubtedly you know that unless you’re super vigilant, it will impact and influence you.
