Welcome to Day 11 of the Light Your Fire! 30-Day Challenge!  

In yesterday’s practices, you were guided to delve deeper into how you think about yourself.

Today you’re focusing on being the cause of the change you want in your life, and getting clear about what changes you intend to make.

Change happens intentionally or by default.  When the change in your life happens by default, you don’t often get what you want.  However when change happens as a result of clear Intention, you’re 100x more likely to create what you want!

If you find yourself getting getting stuck or confused, go back to Day 1 and check out the “Helpful Notes”.

Remember, everything is a process, so be gentle with yourself.

And most of all, remember to HAVE FUN!

Step 2: Sizzling Affirmations


Sizzling Affirmations

Your Sizzling Affirmations will keep you motivated and focused throughout the day. They will help you create new possibilities to replace your old and limiting beliefs. You can also use them to find strength if doubt creeps in.

Make them a priority.  Create time first thing in the morning, last thing at night, and as often as possible throughout the day to repeat your affirmations.

Here are this week’s Sizzling Affirmations.  Now say them out loud with passion and gusto!

☆ I am worthy of everything I dream of.
☆ I have the strength, courage, and fortitude to turn my desires into reality.
☆ Yes, I CAN!



Step 3: “Light Your Fire!” Practices 


Light Your Fire Observation Exercise

If you were about to take a trip to a destination across the country, would you just get in your car, turn on the ignition, and head on out without knowing how to get there?  Of course not!  It would take you forever to get there – not to mention, you would miss all the wonderful adventures along the way.

Surely what you’d do is get out your map, Google where you’re going, or use your GPS to plot out your route.

So if you want to create Change in your life, start with knowing where you are, then establish where you want to go and how you’re going to get there.

Today’s writing exercise is about getting clear on where you want to go.

Writing ExerciseYes, I CAN!

On two pieces of paper (one for business and one for your personal life), create 3 columns.


  • In the left hand column, write the 3 things that you think you can’t be, do or have in your life.
  • In the middle column against each item, write, “I can……” Whether you think you can do it or not, go ahead and write it down. Notice how you feel when you read and say aloud the declarations in the middle column. If they make your tummy tingle, you can add them to your weekly affirmations. 
  • Then, in the right hand column next to your “I Can” statement, write two action steps to take to make it happen. Allow yourself to get uncomfortable and think outside your comfort zone. 

For example:

    • Left column – I’ll never be comfortable with public speaking. 
    • Middle column – I can be a great public speaker.
    • Right column – 1) Find a class to learn how to speak in public. 2) Set up practice groups to get more seasoned, and record these to learn from them. 
    • Left column – I can’t lose weight. I’ve always struggled with my weight.
    • Middle column – I can have a body that I’m completely happy with. 
    • Right column – 1) Exercise 3 mornings a week. 2) Hire a trainer to help me sculpt my body. 
    • Left column – I don’t know how to relax. 
    • Middle column – I can relax both my mind and my body.
    • Right column – 1) Cut out caffeine. 2) Take time to relax or meditate.
