Whether you’re craving the zest for life you used to have, you’re unmotivated, or you’re just feeling tired all the time, don’t wait another minute! These are indicators that there’s something you’re not paying attention to in your life. Often times there’s a simple solution that makes all the difference in the world. And the solution never starts with someone or something “out there”… It always starts with you!
Fran was TIRED. She was worn out with her life. She was weary from thinking herself into exhaustion, and was just plain tired of being tired all the time.
Does this sound familiar?
Fran had stopped taking care of herself a long time ago. For fleeting moments, when she was overcome with guilt, she would pay attention to what she was eating. She couldn’t remember the last time she had exercised. Ironically, she was keeping her membership going at the gym. So every month she felt a HUGE pang of guilt when she saw the charge on her credit card bill.
Fortunately she was in fairly good health. But even she could see that her metabolism had slowed down to a snail’s pace, the pace at which she was living.
Fran yearned to have more energy. Big things were starting to happen in her career and she knew she needed to energize herself or she wouldn’t be able to handle it all.
If you’re tired all the time, a contributing factor could be that you don’t have anything to look forward to. You see the glass as half empty. You let how you feel now dictate how you will feel in the future. This is an upside-down belief!
Are you tired of being tired all the time?
Follow these steps to get yourself moving:
- Create a list of ways you can energize yourself – for example, exercise, losing weight, or finding a charity to get involved with.
- Get clear about what you’re committed to and what you want to accomplish.
- Start wherever you are and set a small milestone goal. Most of us don’t start because we can’t climb Mount Everest. Start with baby steps – for example, walk to the corner, then gradually increase it from there.
- Schedule in your calendar when you’re going to do it…and then do it!
- Put a list together of things you look forward to. If you don’t have anything to put on your list, then write what you would like to look forward to. Then take steps towards the first thing you choose from your list.
Things changed for Fran when she started to schedule her exercise. It took a little while but, after sleeping through the alarm a few times, she was amazed at how easy it was to get up.
It felt so hard in her imagination but it was actually quite easy!
As Fran began to generate energy, she noticed that it was increasing. Fran liked how her body was feeling, especially as the extra weight was falling off her.
Most importantly, she started to have all kinds of energy for her big new job! All her concerns evaporated, and she eagerly stepped into it.
Does life make you tired? Are you struggling for the energy you used to have? Are ready to stop thinking and start doing something about it? If you answered yes, then I have the perfect answer to perk you up!
